Update: We Are Changing a Little
Everything you can expect on Sundays starting tomorrow. I hope you'll love reading it as much as I did writing it.
Welcome to this new form of Be Curious. A newsletter (I hope) you await every Sunday.
From now on, the Sunday issue of our newsletter will be a little different.
To make sure we are all on the same page, here’s what our Sunday edition looked like:
In other words, I covered one feature story and that was it. Now is the time to spice things up and explore further than that.
I learnt a lot of things in August. (Read the recap here.) It was a remarkable experience writing this newsletter. I learned so many new things, read and subscribed to other cool letters, and finally (finally!) understood how this newsletter thing works.
In September, I want to keep exploring the seas. But as I was reflecting, I noticed I narrowed down too fast and too soon.
I’m not holding any grudges against “niching down ideology,” but I want to take two-three things together in one boat.
Keeping these things separate makes me feel like jumping boats and not fully absorbing (or appreciating) any of those.
That’s why starting this Sunday, i.e. tomorrow, the newsletter structure will change slightly.
You will see a broad array of topics getting included in Be Curious.
This is not an attempt to ruin the taste, look, or feel of the publication. Quite the contrary, it’s to give this publication an overarching theme that’s wide enough to roam freely.
To satiate more curious minds.
Here’s a sneak peek at tomorrow’s issue:
Writing: Four P’s to structure your writing
History With a Message: A man with Iron Lungs
Book-ish: How to go from zero to one?
Let’s Muse: Do you know cyclists are the ones behind all the problems in our economy?
I hope you will enjoy tomorrow’s issue.
One more thing: you can always give feedback, and tell me where I can improve and what I am doing good, by commenting on the post or replying to the email.
You can also email me at vritant@subtack.com to give more generalised or issue-independent feedback. I’m all ears.
P.S. I will keep you posted on how this experiment turns out and will update the About page and welcome email shortly.
See you tomorrow!
